Some time back, during discussions with Professor Manu Ampim, I mentioned that there existed a continent wide priesthood system in Africa. I planned on writing something about it but never got around to doing it. So while I had some time, and was in a writing mood, I decided to put some thoughts to paper to discuss this African Super Highway of Wisdom and how it relates to our studies of ancient African civilizations.
Enclosed are my notes that are followed with comparative cultural motifs to aid in your studies. Hopefully this will bring about a new shift in paradigm concerning the quest for wisdom in ancient times and how this suppression of this hunger became the motivation to mutually share "notes" with African sages across the continent to this very day.
I look forward to your thoughts and criticisms. To download, just click the link below.

Thank you for reviewing the article and for your feedback. To answer your question, I'm not really sure if they had/have a system in place like that of the Africans, but I can surely ask around. I can say that some tribes were a part of this system as well and it can be seen by observing their symbols.
As far as fear is concerned, initiation is aimed at dispelling fear from one's psyche. However, the methods varies tremendously between cultures so I can't give you a definitive answer. A good example of such methods can be read in Dr. Malidoma Some's book Of Water and the Spirit which describes his initiation into manhood among the Dagara people. That would be an excellent starting point for you.

I have a question though.Do you know any methods that the people used in general to get rid of fear in its various forms??
